Returns Specialty Medical understands there are times that customers order products that end up not adequately meeting their needs. Specialty Medical is more than willing to work with the customer to help come up with the best solution.
Specialty Medical is committed to working with its customers to ensure products with warranties perform according to the manufacturer's specifications. Warranty information, where applicable, can be found enclosed within the product packaging.
RETURN POLICY
If you are the original purchaser who bought products directly from Specialty-Medical, you may return the products in as-new condition to Speicalty-Medical up to 21 days; however, your Return Authorization Number (RMA) must be requested 72 hours from receiving your product. A RMA number is also required by for a full credit on any product error, damage or loss occurring in transit.
Exceptions include:
Bath Safety Equipment Category (Hygienic & FDA Regulations)
Beds including mattresses
Patient Lifts
Motorized Wheelchairs
Electric Scooters
Bariatric and Custom Wheelchairs
Wheelchair Cushions
Incontinence Products
Geriatric & Hip Chairs
Some Medical Supplies
The refund or credit does not include any shipping and handling charges shown on your packing slip or invoice; you are responsible for those.
THE REFUND OR CREDIT IS SUBJECT TO A FIFTEEN PERCENT (15%) RESTOCKING FEE (PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES), UNLESS OTHERWISE PROHIBITED BY LAW. Any custom-ordered or custom-built items are non-returnable. These non-returnable products are custom-produced by the manufacturers and are unable to be returned. Other products that can not be returned include power wheelchair, wheelchair ramps and electric scooters. For any non-returnable items or items with re-stock fees you will be notified at the time you place your order. Return freight will be the responsibility of the customer.
If you are an organization that bought the products under a written agreement with Specialty-Medical, the agreement may contain different terms for the return of products than specified by this policy.
PROCEDURE
To return products, you must email Specialty Medical Customer Service at info@specialty-medical.com to receive a Return Authorization Number. To expedite the process of your refund or credit, Specialty-Medical expects you to return the products to Specialty-Medical in their original packaging within 5 days of the date that Specialty Medical issues the Credit Return Authorization Number.
YOU MUST PREPAY SHIPPING CHARGES AND INSURE THE SHIPMENT OR ACCEPT THE RISK OF LOSS OR DAMAGE DURING SHIPMENT.
Returned products must be in as-new condition, and all of the manuals, components, and other items included with a product must be returned with it.
EXCEPTIONS
Specialty-Medical's "TOTAL SATISFACTION" Return Policy does not apply to goods or items that because of hygienic considerations cannot be returned. Products marked as "all sales final" may also not be returned.
Customers who refuse the original shipment from UPS will not receive a refund because the warehouses that ship the products are not the same warehouse that receives the returns. Customers must call and get the appropriate address to ship the products back to receive a refund.
